Significant service: Civic Engagement Scholar applications due Sept. 20
Looking to make a significant and meaningful contribution to the Cleveland community? Apply to be a Civic Engagement Scholar.
The Civic Engagement Scholars program promotes active citizenship among CWRU students by fostering profound connections between students and the community. Scholars commit to completing a minimum of 50 community service hours (including 20 at one designated site) over the course of the academic year and attend a series of workshops that enhance their understanding of community and social issues.
Upon successful completion of the program, scholars are awarded a Certificate of Distinguished Service and attend a reception hosted by President Snyder.
Applications are due by Wednesday, Sept. 20.
