Look ahead to your finals schedule before you plan travel
The final exam period is Dec. 12 to 20. It is important that you review your final exam schedule before finalizing plans to leave campus or purchase a flight to leave campus after the fall semester. Final exam dates will not be altered to accommodate travel plans.
First-year students with exceptional circumstances who may require that a change be made to their exam schedule should be in touch with Dean Mason at email@example.com.
Checking your exam schedule
Make sure to consult your course syllabi and the final exam schedule in SIS to ensure that you know the exact date, time and location of each of your final exams. You can find your exam schedule in SIS by selecting “exam schedule” from the drop-down menu in the Academics section of your SIS Student Services Center homepage. If there are any discrepancies between what is posted in SIS and what appears on your course syllabus, make sure to address this with your instructor immediately.
No student is required to take more than two final examinations on the same calendar day. Additionally, no student will be expected to take an evening exam in the 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. exam slot and another exam the next morning in the 8 to 11 a.m. exam slot.
Students who have two exams that are scheduled at the same time will need to have one of those exams rescheduled. Jeffrey Wolcowitz, dean of undergraduate studies, will be in touch in mid-November with students who are impacted by any of the aforementioned situations and work with them to resolve these issues. However, you should be sure to double-check your exam schedule for conflicts and contact Dean Wolcowitz (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have not heard from him by late November or if exam dates and/or times not posted in SIS create a conflict.
