ABCs of honeybees at the CWRU farm
The University Farm will offer a one-day “ABCs of Honey Bees” course twice on two Saturdays this winter: Feb. 17 and March 17. This four-hour course will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the farm’s Main Lab Administration Building, Kutina Classroom. Directional signs will be posted.
The class will cover all aspects of beginning beekeeping, honey bee biology and diseases, and hive management. Richard Manley, a University Farm beekeeping consultant for more than five years and Board of Health inspector for Geauga County, will lead the course.
